Introduction

Inspired by the respective ministry and some of the outstanding national universities, Center for Academic Staff Affairs was founded in 2013 aiming to aggregate and integrate affairs related to faculty members.

 

Mission

The mission of the center is defined as excellent and integrated management of all the affairs related to academic staff toward complete utilization and improvement of their entire potencies and capabilities en route for quantitative and qualitative development of education, research and services, aiming to realize university's goals.

 

Important Goals

  1. Respecting academic staff and handling related tasks in the shortest possible time, with the goal of providing appropriate basis for maximum utilization of their scientific capacities
  2. Programming for identification, clarification, notification and facilitation of executive processes associated with faculty members
  3. Planning for utilization of new methods in implementation of vertical and horizontal improvement processes
  4. Planning for proper and fluent workflow of applicants for promotion
  5. Design, execution, acceleration and supervision of the related processes
  6. Providing an appropriate basis for proper notification of faculty members in the associated matters.
  7. Preparation of faculty members' database
  8. Participation in planning and offering cultural and welfare services intended for academic staff

Duties

  • Filing the scientific, educational, research and executive records of academic staff
  • Preparation of computerized information related to faculty members
  • Notification of regulations and instructions issued by the respective ministry
  • Administrative correspondence linked to proclamations and certifications requested by faculty members
  • Assessment and monitoring of educational activities by academic staff, in-time communication with clinical education experts for submission of such activities
  • Collection and submission of annual promotion request forms along with related documentation; change of recruitment status
  • Communicating university's Research Affairs Management concerning confirmation of research documents and records of academic staff
  • Exchanging information with university's Education Development Center for verifying related documents and records
  • Necessary communications with Vice Chancellery of  Administration and Finance regarding the full-time plan
  • Required communications for academic staf fwith special commitments
  • Required coordination for educational missions, long-and short-term leave
  • Evaluation of faculty members' documentation and records for promotion of academic rank (i.e. Assistant Professor to Associate Professor)
  • Submission of documents and follow-up of files addressed to Central Audit Board, serving promotion writs after being confirmed by Central Audit Board
  • Collaboration in the process of hiring visiting professors proportional to the educational requirements of each semester
  • Management of welfare services offered to academic staff
